About QuestSchool
QuestSchool started as learning games built for one family’s own children, alongside the three Quest Books the nine characters come from. It grew into 102 games, and then into something worth handing to other families.
Why it exists
Most software aimed at young children is built to hold attention, and measures its own success in minutes watched. QuestSchool is built to be answered. Every session produces a record of which questions a child got right, which they got wrong, and what that says about a skill - and that record is shown to the parent, not buried.
The second reason is subtraction. No ads, no chat, no user-generated content, no AI talking to your child, no in-app purchases, no third-party trackers. Every one of those is a thing we chose not to build, and every one of them is why the product is smaller and calmer than it could be.
Who it is for
Children roughly aged 4 to 9 - from letter sounds and counting up to times tables, comprehension, grammar, geography and beginner French. Families use it at home; some teachers use it with a class, which is why an account can carry several adults with owner, parent and teacher roles.
Maths
Counting, place value, addition and subtraction, times tables, money, measurement, fractions and word problems.
Reading and phonics
Letter sounds, blending, sight words, vocabulary and reading comprehension.
Grammar and writing
Nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs, punctuation, sentence building and spelling.
Science
Animals and habitats, the human body, plants, weather, materials and simple experiments.
Geography
Continents, countries, capitals, flags, maps and directions.
US civics
American symbols, the states, branches of government and how voting works.
French
First words, colours, numbers, animals and everyday phrases.
Art and music
Colour mixing, drawing challenges, rhythm, instruments and note reading.
How it is built
Answers are marked on our servers rather than in the browser, so the progress you read is real. Each family’s data is isolated from every other family’s, and that isolation has its own test suite that runs on every change. This marketing site is deliberately the dullest part of the system: it has no database, no login and no third-party code at all.
We do not publish testimonials, family counts or efficacy studies. When we have evidence worth showing you, we will show you the evidence.
